Wholesale Web Site Development

One of the many valuable services Ithikon Enterprises provides to association management companies is our ability to develop community Web sites on a wholesale business level.

Often, associations express the need for a Web site that their management company cannot satisfy. Ithikon can design, develop, deploy, host and service a functionally robust Web site on the management company's behalf. To facilitate this, Ithikon provides wholesale pricing to management companies.

For a complete features list and pricing, please email your request or call our business development office at (727) 562-9899, extension 202.

Access Management

The association will assign a Web site administrator. This administrator will have control over the authorization levels that will define the user's ability to access, edit or delete the content that appears on the Web site. Users can be assigned individual access or to groups with similar permissions levels as determined by the administrator and each group can have different access and edit capabilities. The user's name and password will identify the level of permissions assigned. Permission levels will determine their restrictions with regard to viewing, editing and deleting information. Items or functions for which the user is not authorized for viewing or editing will simply not appear in their viewable navigation menu.

Content Management

Authorized users will have the ability to modify the content that appears in the editable portion of the Web pages. The editable portion is defined as the area between the Header, Footer and Navigation page frames. Within the editable area, the client will be able to:

  • Add, edit and delete content
  • Upload pictures
  • Create hyperlinks
  • Add or delete new Web pages
  • Determine if a page is for public viewing or is restricted to certain permission levels

The Web editor has an easy to use interface that does not require programming knowledge to make the changes to the Web site. The administrator will have the ability to name the page and enter in the appropriate content for that page including images, links, etc. When saved, a page is automatically created within the database of pages and the navigation of the Web site will be altered to include the new page navigation link.

Calendar of Events

The calendar is designed as an events calendar for use with the public areas of the Web site and the member's only section. It will allow authorized members to schedule events, allow registration and collect reservation information. Users may choose to allow the events in the calendar to be viewed as public or private. Public calendars will allow visitors to see public events, while private events will be limited to logged in users from a Members Only section.

Member's Forum

As a community communication tool, the administrator can be provided with the ability to create online forums for members to maintain ongoing dialogs about subjects of interest to the Client and its members. Only the administrator will be able to create a forum, and the forums will be given permissions by groups. For instance, a forum for the technology committee would only be available to those members who are on the technology committee. All members who participate can have their member names display on the forum to prevent “blind submissions”. When a response is submitted to a thread, all members who have participated will receive and email notification that somebody has responded to their posting. The administrator can delete forums, threads or messages.

Newsletters, Announcements and Documentation

In order to more effectively communicate with the contacts in the database, an automated HTML email application can be provided. This system will allow a user to design a template or use a pre-designed template for messages sent to members of the database. The system will allow a user to add text, images, tables or hyperlinks to the mailing. The system will provide the user with the ability to email a stored announcement to the entire database or to specific categories or groups within the database, or to individual members.

The system can convert from an HTML email to a text version for those contacts that can't, or prefer not to, receive html mail. The user can also create a separate mailing list on the system for mailings outside the members of the contacts within the database. The system stores the data of the mailing along with the number of messages sent and keeps an archive of the mailings. The system will automatically place a link at the bottom of each mail piece that will allow the recipient to unsubscribe to future mailings. This will trigger a modification to the contact table that no future mailings will go to that contact.

Additionally, all documents that may be required for either public or member-specific viewing can be attached to a menu, selected by viewers and either printed or downloaded in a variety of formats that include test, Word or PDF.

Hosting, Maintenance and Domain Registration

The yearly hosting fee includes hosting of the Web site, unlimited email accounts, site and data backups, technical support and customer service. The domain registration fee is a pass-through fee that maintains domain name control that will not require re-registration for ten years. (Back to Management Gateway Modules)
